My Valve Is Stamped SMR
My valve is marked SMR followed by some numbers e.g 09/20, what does this mean?
If your tap valve is marked SMR followed by 4 digits e.g SMR 09/20, this tells us that the valve is a genuine San Marco (SMR) and the month / year it was manufactured.
The SMR marking is the manufacturer identification, and the 09/20 is the manufacturing date code (month/year).
However, the SMR/date marking does not identify the exact valve model or size. It is an excellent starting point though, as it means we most likely have that Genuine Valve or alternatively a high quality Compatible Valve.
To help us find the correct valve, please send:
- A clear photo of the complete tap (including any brand if stamped on it)
- A clear photo of the full valve from different angles
- Any measurements you have, including the valve height, diameter, thread size, and the number of splines on the top
With these details, we can compare your valve against our range and help match the correct replacement.
