How to Remove the Lever Handle and Replace the Cartridge
1. Isolate the water supply
Turn off the hot and cold water supplies to the tap. Open the tap to release any residual water pressure.
2. Remove the shroud
Unscrew the shroud anticlockwise and carefully lift it upwards, away from the tap body.
3. Remove the valve cartridge
Using a 17mm spanner or suitable adjustable spanner, carefully unscrew the valve anticlockwise and remove it from the tap body.
4. Fit the replacement valve cartridge
Insert the replacement valve into the tap body, ensuring it is correctly seated and aligned. Tighten securely using a 17mm spanner or suitable adjustable spanner. Do not overtighten.
5. Refit the shroud and lever handle
Position the shroud over the tap body and screw it clockwise until secure. Refit the lever handle and check that it operates correctly.
6. Restore the water supply
Slowly turn the hot and cold water supplies back on. Operate the tap and check carefully for leaks.
