Carron Phoenix Alba Valve Cartridge Set 1427R / 3561R

Please note:
The manufacturer recommends using the 3561R valve as the replacement for the Carron Phoenix Alba tap, even if your existing tap is fitted with the 3547R valve.

Carron Phoenix valves have been updated during production, and the valve specification has changed over time. The 3561R is the approved replacement valve for earlier versions fitted with the 3547R, so please order the 3561R as the correct replacement.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

It can be a common enough problem that when you remove your Hot valve, it looks different to the valve in the cold side. It is most likely because the brass bush is still attached. There is only a Bush on the Hot valve side. There is no Bush on the cold valve side. Here is a link to the Bush.

Take care when removing your old valve

When removing an old tap valve, it is common for the brass retaining ring (also known as the bush) to come out attached to the valve. Although it may seem stuck, the bush can usually be removed and reused.

If the bush is difficult to separate from the old valve, apply a small amount of penetrating oil or WD-40 around the joint and leave it for a few minutes to work. Carefully loosen the bush, taking care not to damage the threads.

Once removed, screw the bush back into the tap body and tighten securely. You can then fit your replacement tap valve as normal.

If the bush is damaged or cannot be removed, a replacement bush may be required. One bush is required per valve.
