A dripping or leaking Franke Danube tap doesn’t always mean you need to replace the entire tap. If water is dripping from the top of the spout, replacing the valve can often restore smooth, reliable operation.
The Franke Danube tap uses either a 1212R Pre 2013 or 3819R Post 2013 valve, depending on when it was manufactured. While both valves may be suitable, we recommend checking your existing valve and choosing a like-for-like replacement wherever possible to ensure the correct fit.
If the leak is coming from the base of the spout, where it joins the tap body, worn or damaged O-rings are the likely cause. Replacing the O-rings should help resolve the leak and restore a watertight seal. For easier installation and to protect the new seals, apply silicone grease when fitting the replacement O-rings.
