A dripping or leaking Franke Danube tap doesn’t necessarily mean you need a new tap. If your tap is dripping from the top of the spout, replacing the valve can often restore it to smooth, reliable operation.
The Danube can be fitted with either a 1212R or 3819R valve, depending on when the tap was manufactured. Both valves should fit, but we recommend checking your existing valve and replacing it like-for-like wherever possible.
If your tap is leaking around the base of the spout, where it meets the tap body, fitting new O-rings should resolve the leak. For easier installation and to help protect the seals, use silicone grease when fitting replacement O-rings.
